Want to learn the state Dance of Kentucky, get a great workout, and try something different?
A beginner class in Appalachian Clogging will start on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from 6 – 7 p.m. at Daviess County Fairgrounds Bittel Hall.
The class will run for 6 weeks and registration is $36 per person for the 6-week series. The class will be taught by Barry Lanham. All ages are encouraged to attend and no previous dance experience or partner is necessary.
Clogging is a folk dance that dates back to early settlers in the Appalachian Mountains. Traditionally danced to country and bluegrass, today, all forms of music are used.
Taps are optional so just wear a pair of comfortable shoes.
For experienced dancers, and Intermediate level is offered on Thursdays, beginning January 19th at Bittel Hall.
Registration takes place the first night of classes.
