The Air Force Junior ROTC program at Apollo High School will host a ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, to dedicate a Wall of Honor display.

JROTC Command Chief Franklin Smith and AHS Principal Charles Broughton will share brief remarks at the ceremony, thanking local Veterans organizations whose sponsorship made the Wall possible.

Representatives from Rolling Thunder Kentucky Chapter One, the VFW Post No. 696 Auxiliary, James L. Yates American Legion Post No. 9, AmVets Post No. 75 Ladies Auxiliary and the Kentucky Chapter of the American Gold Star Mothers will be in attendance.

The Wall of Honor will recognize Apollo High School graduates killed in the line of duty while serving our country as members of the military.

Tommy and Cathy Mullins will be among guests of honor as their son, Spc. Brandon Scott Mullins, is among those recognized during this ceremony. Mullins, a 2008 graduate of Apollo High School, was killed in action on Aug. 25, 2011, while serving with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan.
