What better way to shake off the cold than playing baseball? The Apollo High School Baseball program will once again be hosting their Christmas camp during Christmas break Monday, December 29th through Wednesday, December 31st at the high school. The camp is open to kids ages 6-12 years old.
“We’ve done this for several years and the kids really enjoy it,” said Coach Bob Mantooth. “It’s really neat to have our former players come back from college and help.” Mantooth expects four to five college players from Murray State and Austin Peay to help instruct the campers.
The camp runs 9am-noon each day in Apollo’s gym and covers all the fundamentals of baseball. The cost is $50, which makes a great Christmas present for a young person who really loves baseball.
To register, call Coach Mantooth at 270-685-0187 or simply show up the first morning.
