Dr. Eli Capilouto, President of the University of Kentucky, will address the crowd of business and community leaders this Thursday, October 2 at the monthly Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce Rooster Booster. The program will officially start at 7:30 am in the East Ballroom of the Owensboro Convention Center, but doors open at 7 am and a local
trio known as The Royal We will perform during the pre-event networking time.

“Thursday’s Rooster Booster focuses on one of our top four visioning issues for our community – education,” said Amy Jackson, President and CEO of the Chamber. “With Dr. Capilouto there to update us on UK and then OCTC there to discuss their progress on the Skilled Trades Center and their efforts to advance our workforce, it will be a top-notch program.”

The monthly breakfast event is sponsored by the Owensboro Community and Technical College. Limited seating requires an RSVP, and cost to attend is $12. Make your reservation and pay online at http://business.chamber.owensboro.com/events or call the Chamber at 270-926-1860.

Founded in 1913, the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce has worked for a century to provide valuable benefits and services to member business and individuals. Today, with a membership base of more than 930, the Chamber is a critical partner in community and business development initiatives, serving as the center of business advocacy for the Greater Owensboro region.
