The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to activate a new traffic signal at the intersection of KY 144/East 4th Street and KY 2830 (Old US 60) in Owensboro on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
This new traffic signal at the east edge of Owensboro has been placed in flashing mode to allow the public to become familiar with the signal location. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to place the signal in full green-yellow-red operation sometime on Thursday, May 4th.
This intersection is at KY 144 mile point 1.934 and KY 2830 mile point 0.0. This is along KY 144 just west of the US 60 Exit 21 Owensboro Interchange.
Motorists should be alert for changes in traffic flow activation of the new signal will bring to this intersection at the east edge of Owensboro. At the time of activation, a new turn lane will be opened at the intersection.
Approximately 8,000 vehicles travel through this intersection in an average day.
