Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for their two fun-filled Summer Day Camps that will take place May 23-August 5 for ages 5-13 years old.
Each camp is open Monday-Friday 7a.m.-6p.m. Early morning drop off is available at 6:40a.m. for $2 extra a day. Breakfast, lunch and two snacks are provided at both camps throughout the summer.
Our traditional Summer Day Camp is located at the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Administration Building at 1530 McJohnson Avenue. It is the only day camp in Owensboro accredited by the American
Camp Association! During the summer, campers will go swimming twice a week plus one field trip a week, participate in fun and educational games and activities, and have special visitors throughout the
summer that will add to the camp experience. There is a weekly fee of $75 for a whole week or $65 for 3 days or fewer. Registration deadline is May 6.
The Edge Summer Day Camp is for children that love to skate! Each morning, campers will get time on the ice with a counselor who is educated in figure skating, hockey, or recreational skating to
improve campers’ skills and in the afternoon campers will play fun structured games and activities. Throughout the summer, there will be swimming once a week and fieldtrips. Weekly fees are $80 for a
whole week or $65 for 3 days or fewer. Registration deadline is May 13.
There are a limited number of openings for each camp so don’t delay in signing up! This is a great experience that your child will never forget.
For more information or to print out our registration forms, please visit www.owensboroparks.org. At the time of registration, all forms must be filled out completely and a copy of the campers current immunization form must be provided.
