Am I seeing this right? Tractor Supply Company is building two stores in Owensboro? (One on 54 and one between Moonlite and Kroger on Parrish.) Makes me wonder why a chain like that would build two gigantic stores simultaneously in the same town. Especially when there’s a still-shiny-and-new Rural King already here.
Rob Hoskins, Media Relations for Tractor Supply Company, told Owensboro Living, “Tractor Supply Company is excited about being a new member of the Owensboro business community.” Hoskins says TSC is always looking for potential new store locations that are a good fit for their target market and Owensboro is “especially attractive due to the part-time and hobby farmers, and horse owners in the area.”
TSC specializes in lawn & garden and animal care products. Both locations in Owensboro will be 19,097 square feet and each location will employ between 12-17 full and part-time team members.
The soft opening for both the East Owensboro and West Owensboro locations is currently set for February 28, 2015. Owensboro Living will keep you updated.
