It’s back! Over 50,000 items from 350 consignors will be sold Saturday April 28 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. with a Half Off Sale Sunday April 29 from 12-3 p.m. at the Owensboro Boys and Girls Club, 3415 Buckland Square, Owensboro, KY 42301. The sale is organized by Jennifer Higdon and Stephanie Higdon, who are sisters-in-law. This is the 24th sale the two have produced.
Furniture, home décor, baby equipment, clothing for the whole family, TOYS GALORE, music, books, sports equipment, bikes, framed prints, and so much more will be available. Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted. There is no admission fee. The sale is open to the public.
“Our sale is a win-win for all involved. Consignors get to clean out their closets and make money. Shoppers get to purchase like new or gently used items at a fraction of the retail cost. I think most people are looking for ways to make and save money these days,” says Jennifer Higdon.
Stephanie Higdon says, “We take everything a kid can use from birth to college as well as furniture and home décor. Our sale is more than just kids’ stuff. We really do have something for everyone. The space we rent from the Boys and Girls Club is 18,000 square feet, so we have a lot of space.”
The consignment sale will have fifteen checkout lanes available this sale instead of the twelve they had last sale. “We are doing all we can to shorten the wait time people have in the long lines to checkout,” says Stephanie Higdon.
Consignment sale shopping is serious business. Because there is generally a long line ready for the doors to open, the best way to shop is to leave the kids at home if possible and bring a laundry basket. Shopping bags are not allowed and all strollers will be carefully inspected.
