Realtors® have a passion for helping people find homes.

Catastrophic flooding in the South from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have left thousands homeless.

Over the past two weeks, individual Realtors® through their national, state, and local associations donated to the Realtors® Relief Foundation a total of $1.8 Million.  100% of the donations go directly toward housing-related aid, including mortgage and rental assistance, for disaster victims.

Gordon Barnett, President of the Greater Owensboro Realtor® Association says, “The local and national real estate community has always believed in giving back to the community and our local charities.”

Barnett cited other examples where “hundreds of thousands of dollars” were given to various charities through the generosity of Realtors®.

National Realtor® Association President William Brown hopes those affected by these natural disaster “know that the Realtor® family is here for them.”
