Owensboro film maker PJ Starks is closing in on his Kickstarter campaign to self-fund his next film project. With 50 backers so far pledging $2,760 of his $3,750 goal, Starks just needs another $1,000 in 17 days.
“This project went from a simple idea of a small group of artists to becoming something more massive than I could’ve originally conceived,” Stark said. “So far the amount of support we’ve gotten has been tremendous with 72% of our goal already funded. Now we just need that little push to get us over the final hump.”
“Volumes of Blood” is an anthology of 5 horror movies being produced through the Unscripted Film School program at the Daviess County Public Library. The goal is to use local and regional actors and crew. Production is slated for August –November in hopes of a December release. Funds raised through the Kickstarter campaign will be used for visual effects, catering for the cast & crew, and compensation for travel expenses.
Any and all contributions to the project are greatly appreciated. Stark says backing this project will “help our educational initiative with the film school and help bring the vision of so many local/regional artists to life.” Each contribution level has different benefits ranging from signed DVD copies to producer credits on the film.
