Owensboro Health will present “The Doc is In: Aging Gracefully” on May 17, 8 a.m. to noon, at the Owensboro Health Healthpark. Event attractions will include a health fair and presentations by One Health physicians Trasey Falcone, DO and Khanh Nguyen, MD.

The event is co-presented by Green River Area Development District and Elizabeth Munday Senior Center.

“When’s it comes to aging, today’s older generations are rewriting the script,” says Healthpark director Collette Carter. “This event will show people how to enjoy better health at any stage of life.”

Over 20 exhibitors are expected at the health fair, which will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Healthpark gymnasium and will feature health screenings, educational booths and door prizes. At 10 a.m., Dr. Nguyen (family medicine) will give a presentation on the aging process, while Dr. Falcone (physical medicine and rehabilitation) will talk about fall prevention at 10:45.

“’The Docs is In’ series gives visitors something unique: the opportunity for direct interaction with a practicing physician,” Carter says “Educational outreach is one way Owensboro Health is working to improve the health of our region.”

Registration is recommended and can be made by calling the Healthpark’s Golden Partners line, 270-688-4855. Additional information can be found at www.owensborohealth.org/healthpark.

“The Doc is In” is a recurring educational series that takes place every other month at the Healthpark.
