On Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at approximately 9:30 p.m. the Owensboro Police Department responded to a robbery call at the Marathon gas station located at 1538 W. Second Street.
During the incident, an unknown black male entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The male then fled the scene on foot southbound with an undetermined amount of money from the register.
There were no injuries reported and the investigation is ongoing.
