The Owensboro Police Department was well represented during the fifth annual Governor’s Occupant Protection Awards Ceremony held July 28th, 2015 in Lexington, KY.
During the ceremony, officers from across Kentucky were recognized for their efforts to enforce the seatbelt and child restraint laws; laws which encourage the use of restraints that statistically save lives.
Officer Aaron Hamilton, a 9 year veteran of the Owensboro Police Department, issued 506 seatbelt and child restraint citations as well as 16 booster seat citations during the past year.
