The Owensboro Police Department is investigating eight cases involving the exchange of fraudulent money as payment for goods or services. A total of five fraudulent $100 bills and 10 fraudulent $20 bills have been passed.
The Owensboro Police Department is bringing this to the community’s attention in an attempt to stop the circulation of these items. Several of the bills are clearly marked as props and should not be accepted as legal tender.
