The Owensboro Police Department is holding our 5th annual Operation Santa food drive. Once again we have teamed up with the Elizabeth Munday Center to gather food supplies for those regularly served by the Meals on Wheels program. With this year’s donations by local businesses and department employees, we will be delivering 300 food boxes to citizens in our community.
On Wednesday, December 20th, 2017, at 9 a.m., members of the Owensboro Police Department and their families will gather inside OPD’s Community Room to assemble all of the boxes of goodies. Once assembled, the boxes will be transferred to our makeshift sleighs; police cruisers and SUV’s.
The Owensboro Police Department is thankful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in our community; a community that has always shown us great support.
Merry Christmas!
