OLEANNA is a thought provoking drama by award-winning playwright, David Mamet. It stars Harry Anderson, who fans will remember from TV’s NIGHT COURT and other shows. Anderson plays a college professor accused of sexual misconduct by a young co-ed. Issues of guilt, misunderstanding, and social politics come into play as the audience is forced to ask and answer difficult questions.
In recent years, Anderson has appeared in movies and television, revisited his life-long passion for magic, and created a one man show called WISE GUY. OLEANNA is a departure from the comedic roles he is best known for. A far cry from NIGHT COURT, CHEERS and DAVE’S WORLD, Mamet’s play is a blunt, brittle drama, and contains mature themes and some vulgar language. It is not suitable for young audiences.
Anderson’s co-star is Liberty Larsen, an actress, songwriter and magician from Los Angeles. She is a core cast member, host and production manager of the Brookledge Follies, a historic variety arts collective in Hollywood. Her performances range from music and magic to silent comedy, dance and grand guignol mediumship.
OLEANNA is a fundraiser for TWO. There will be a Question and Answer session after each performance. Following the dinner preview will be a “Meet and Greet” with the cast. Member discounts do not apply.
