Old National Bank donated a 2013 Dodge Dart to the Family Resource and Youth Services Centers programs at Daviess County Public Schools this morning.
The keys to this vehicle were officially presented to representatives of the DCPS FRYSC team at a ceremony at the DCPS Learning Center Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
The car will be used by FRYSC coordinators across the district as they provide service and support to DCPS students and families
“We transport students on a daily basis for so many reasons,” said Sue Krampe, who serves as Youth Services Center coordinator at Apollo High School. “Having access to this vehicle will be a tremendous benefit to our team as we remain dedicated to doing whatever it takes to help students succeed in school and in life.”
Other examples include transporting students and their families to medical appointments, attending meetings at social service agencies, or taking children home if they become sick during the school day and their parents do not have access to transportation.
Old National Bank has demonstrated an exceptional tradition of supporting Daviess County Public Schools. ONB market president Wade Jenkins said, “Old National Bank is very proud to be a part of the Owensboro/Daviess County community. Donating a car that will provide transportation for kids and their families is just another creative way that we give back to the communities where we live and work. Being a community partner is what has made Old National Bank who we are for the last 183 years.”
The Foundation for DCPS worked with Old National Bank and the DCPS Family Resource/ Youth Services Centers to facilitate the gift.
