A CSX rail crew plans to close Frederica Street between West 10th Street and West 11th Street in downtown Owensboro starting early Monday for rail crossing upgrades.
There will be a marked detour via KY 54/Parrish Avenue, KY 2262/J.R. Miller Boulevard, KY 2155/5th Street and 4th Street.
Motorists will have access to businesses along Frederica Street on each side of the closure point.
The roadway at this site is expected to remain closed for about 2 to 3 days.
CSX will attempt to provide timely notice when the roadway is reopened to traffic.
Repairs on Burlew and Old Hartford
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic along a section of KY 298/Old Hartford Road on Monday & Tuesday, March 28 & 29, 2016.
The contractor plans a daytime work zone lane restriction at the intersection of KY 298/Old Hartford Road and KY 1432/Burlew Boulevard to allow old pavement markings to be water blasted off and new thermoplastic traffic markings to be added.
Motorists should be alert for flaggers, equipment, and maintenance personnel along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow in and around the intersection. Appropriate caution is required.
Some delays are possible.
Motorist should consider seeking an alternate route.
