On Wednesday, December 2, Officer Benjamin Fleury received recognition at the 2015 Governor’s Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards ceremony.
The event was held at the Louisville Marriott East Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. Law enforcement personnel from 117 agencies across the state gathered to be recognized for their effort in removing impaired drivers from our roadways.
Officer Benjamin Fleury has been with the Owensboro Police Department in a patrol capacity since 2013. His dedication to keeping Owensboro safe resulted in 115 DUI arrests in 2015. Officer Fleury not only had the highest enforcement rate within the Owensboro Police Department, but was also the overall recipient for Division II in the state.
The Owensboro Police Department continues to strive for a proactive approach to policing in Owensboro; Officer Fleury is a great example for all to follow.
