Owensboro Museum of Science and History is offering outdoor education classes taught by Steve Hahus.
Class are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Class dates are:
- Aug. 15, 22,24,29, 31
- and Sept. 5, 7.
Initially, the class will meet at the Owensboro Museum of Science & History but will have some outdoor class time at the Rudy Mine Trials Park. The difficulty level of the trails at the park is very low.
Topics of the class will be
- wildflower, and tree identification,
- beneficial plants for pollinators, especially bees
- and at least one class dedicated to resident birds.
Other topics may be covered as requested.
The class is open to adults 18 and older. Cost is $25.
