With the 2016 General Assembly heading into the last few weeks of its session, support continues to build for the bipartisan legislative effort surrounding Scholarship Tax Credits.
EdChoice Kentucky will be hosting an event in Owensboro to teach the community about Scholarship Tax Credits on Monday, March 14 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Pius X Parish located at 3418 East 4th Street, Owensboro, KY.
Scholarship Tax Credits allow individuals or business to receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit from state taxes when they contribute to qualified non-profit organizations providing scholarships for low and middle-income students attending non-public schools.
Currently, the Kentucky General Assembly is considering legislation (SB 44, sponsored by Sen. Joe Bowen & HB 336, sponsored by Rep. Tommy Thompson) to enact a scholarship tax credit program in Kentucky.
Lunch will be provided. RSVP to [email protected].
