The Daviess County High School greenhouse will be open from 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Monday, April 27, selling a variety of flowers, vegetables, ferns and hanging baskets. All proceeds are used to fund student scholarships and the DCHS FFA greenhouse classes.
A selection of products and prices is as follows:
Geraniums (scarlet, red or white), $2 each, 4-inch pots
Petunias (red, white, blue), $2 each, 4-inch pots
Impatiens (Xtreme Mix), $1 each, 4-inch pots
Marigold (yellow), $1.50 per four-pack
Salvia (violet), $1.50 per four-pack
Snapdragon (cream yellow), $1.50 per four-pack
Vinca (Jams and Jellies Blackberry), $1 each, 4-inch pots
Lantana (confetti, lemon drop), $2 each, 4-inch pots
Peppers (green, red, yellow, jalapeno), $2 per four-pack/six-pack (depending on variety)
Tomatoes (several varieties, including Better Boy, Early Girl and Beefsteak), $2 per four-pack
Broccoli, $1.50 per six-pack
Hanging baskets, $10 for 10-inch basket
Boston fern, $20 for 10-inch basket
