Bicentennial Art Camp II is scheduled July 14 – 17 and will feature tours of
the Kentucky Historical Society’s HistoryMobile and its exhibit, Kentucky
and the Civil War. Following each tour, students will be introduced to
mapmaking in the tradition of early explorers of the region.
The free camp programming, now in its tenth season, is sponsored by
Owensboro Grain Company and is the only local fine arts camp specifically
designed to reach the community’s financially challenged children. Half of
the seats in each class are reserved for registrants from local community
service organizations. After those are filled, reservations from the
general public are confirmed.
Registration is now open for Bicentennial Art Camp I and may be completed by
phoning the museum at (270) 685-3181 or emailing at [email protected].
