The Owensboro Police Department has been getting the word out about the importance of seat belt use to the community through our Buckle Up Owensboro. Seat Belts Save Lives! campaign.
To further our efforts, we have once again partnered with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 2016 campaign, “Click It or Ticket”.
The Owensboro Police Department will be placing extra Patrol Officers on the streets with the specific task of looking for seatbelt violations.
Our additional enforcement efforts will take place from May 23, 2016 to June 5, 2016 and will cover all hours of the day during this Memorial Day holiday season.
Remember, it is mandatory in Kentucky to wear your seatbelt, so keep this simple message in mind … CLICK IT OR TICKET!
